Week 8 Remote Sensing image- US fires

This image shows where wildfires are breaking out around the country.  It is maintained by the US forest service, which constantly updates the coordinates of fires.  The KML image is viewed through Google Earth.  This is useful, because it shows where the more active spots for wildfires are on a day to day basis.  It can help fire crews when they are able to predict a general area of where a fire might break out.
